# Strike

> Dashcam, parked surveillance, and live cameras for BYD head units. Runs on the car's existing cameras and screen. Footage stays on the car. No Strike account or subscription.

This site is the public showcase for Strike. The Android app and its source live on GitHub.

Strike needs a BYD head unit running Android 9 or newer on 64-bit ARM, with compatible cameras, ignition readings, and local ADB access. It has been tested on the BYD Atto 2. Other models and firmware versions have not yet been verified. Some camera systems are not supported. Strike is an independent project and is not affiliated with BYD.

Strike Connect is a separate app for iPhone and Android, with its own build for the car. It is in development and not released.
